R3 'sticks' upon first movement of a session

Post by PETER_JERRARD »

Hi there,

I've been using my R3 for a month or so.

Has anyone found the R3 'sticks' the first time you move it in a while? Like some glue has become stuck and then you unstick it? It's not a problem during play, I just notice it at the start. I should point out it's getting colder where I live (UK), so I wonder if there's some sort of rubber component becoming a bit stiffer.

I'm just wondering if this is something other R3 owners are aware of, or should I see about an RMA?

Regards,

Pete

Hey there,

It's just a wild guess but could one of the screws of the stick itself have come lose during normal use?

Normally you don't feel any movement at all in the stick, at least I don't. Mine developed some very slight movement over the last couple of weeks when just enough force was applied. It kind of felt like something in the mount between the base and the stick suddenly moved a tiny fraction of an inch. It turned out, one of the screws of the warthog stick itself had come lose and just needed to be tightened again and things are back to perfect again.

Cheers,
mos

Hi mos, thanks for the reply.

I'll check the screws on the joystick and the base.
