Hi,
I live in Australia.
Since purchasing my FSSB R3 lightening, the FSSB’s micro-USB connection has been a little bit flakey, with the connection to the computer occasionally disconnecting.
Unplugging and replugging normally fixed this, so I didn’t worry to much.
Last night it disconnected and then would not reconnect.
After a lot of fiddling, plugging and replugging I worked out that gentle sideward pressure on the head of the cable while it’s plugged in could get the FSSB to reconnect, but once I released the pressure it quickly disconnects again.
It is fairly obviously a bad or dry connection of the USB socket on to the Logic board of the FSSB-R3 causing this.
My question is what do I do?
I don’t want to mess with it myself.
During this time of Covid 19 can I safely send it back for assessment and repair, or should I see if some firm here can re-solder it safely?
Cheers
Mark
