How to use R3L for BMS

Dear all,

I would like to ask a question about BMS by using R3L.

Currently, my R3L uses the MJF firmware. This firmware works well for DCS. But when I tried to play BMS, R3L cannot be used.

Is it necessary to change the firmware to the BMS firmware?

Thank you very much!

Hi Kiseki,

Could you explain what is the problem you found? and inform about firmware version and BMS version-

The only limitation I know to use the R3L with BMS is the maximum number of DX buttons that BMS reserves for each hid device (32 DX buttons), so if you use a MJF v5 with 64 DX buttons the last 32 DX buttons BMS will not take them into account, but the axes and the firsts 32 DX will work fine.

Regards,

Dear Shark,

Thank you for replying!

I did not use the firmware BMS for my R3L. My current firmware is MFJ. When I tried to set pitch and roll in BMS settings, BMS can recognize R3L, but R3L cannot be assigned.

On the other hand, I solved the problem by using BMS Alternative Launcher. Now, everything is ok!

Hi,

with the new version 4.36 Falcon BMS supports 128 buttons per device.
Assignement works wonderful with alternative launcher.

that,

or you can add in Falcon BMS User.cfg file the line:

Code: Select all

set g_nButtonsPerDevice 128
