Dear R3 family. soon will come the 2016.

Time to enjoy with the family, play with the last 4.33, DCS, SC, even with LM_P3D, and time to get back to the R3 and ask you again. Hi, do you have some new feature, you love see in your R3?

I already know, that maybe with the last BMS firmware is not needed any additional modification, but.... in DCS or StarCitizen, do you need something new? some feature, or whatever?

Here we are to improve the R3 to give you what you need.

All the best
Manuel

Hello! I am a owner of a new FSSB R3 (L), now. I am really happy to be here in the forum and glad to own this exclusive device. In the next days, of course, I will be testing this new device thoroughly. "Thank you!" also to Bartolome Sotes, for having helped me with the order of the right device and gave me the right information :D I like to support projects for simmers, even though I sometimes can not afford it. But for good hardware is almost no price too high ... ;)

Just received my R3+ today and cabled it up with a warthog board

Still getting used to the idea of a force stick and I was worried I might not like it. I was amazed at how intuitive it is, much easier than expected & the software looks great

It's also the only kind of stick I can center mount, due to limited space a normal stick with a trow would foul, so this is also a big plus

Couple of questions

I eventually found how to center the axes using the Trigger, but is it possible to introduce dead zones I could no see anything in the software?

Are curves possible for the axes?

OR

Can I just set these up in Target and they will work?

I'm a little confused right now.

Still cannot wait to try it out "in anger" so to speak on my favorite simm (DCS)

Hi Scotty

WELCOME to the family!!!!!!!

Thanks for your kind words, we are pride of this new work, but our best recompense are always your satisfaction.

About dead zones, R3 have something more efective. you can control your stick and modify in real time.
Please take a look to the BFA in MJF, SSF and AER
Please also take a look also to: FSC and sensibility control,

In AER firmware, also, take a look to the RCA and in my opinion a really great feature the RCA.

The RCA, help you like in the real fighter to control the roll when you do a high AOA maneouver. do some maneouver with the RCA on and off, and you will understand how much your control is improved.

Really, in a few days, you will control all your R3 setting, and will found the best or near to best flight experience.

DO not forget, suggest any additional feature, just as we read all your comments and study every one, and if we receive more request in this direction, we do our best to do the R3 the best ot the best.

Thanks and enjoy.

PD, we have release today a new firmware, is for the R3 owners, We have included your Lighting features (most of possible) inside the firmwares, and now also they can use the 1.08 with the rotation feature. So is not necesary for the R3 lighting the download just as is the same we release the last week, but ofcourse if you like installed ans have also the R3 firmwares you can do it, but remenber the firmwares for the R3 lighting are the 1.02 and upper

Dragon

Many thanks for the friendly welcome and advice.

Initially I've been getting some fun in DCS with jets and the smoothness and precision is much better than I can achieve with a very good quality conventional (a small volume specialist producer) stick.

That said it's horses for courses and at the moment I still prefer the conventional (moveable) stick for the Warbirds.

The reason is the long periods at high stick angle, thinking here about the P-51 and Fw-190, which require a flare followed by stick back to lock the tailwheel when landing, I tend to find myself "sawing" my inputs using the force stick. With practice this will be much reduced.

You're reply left me confounded at first but now I've downloaded the latest firmware and manual I think I understand more about the truly amazing and unique features this stick base has to offer.

Am I correct in assuming that the AER firmware offers more features than the MJF, yet still includes all the features of the MJF.

I like the idea of knowing the trim levels, a chance to try the RCA, the quick shift to 4:4 scale while operating in another regime and the immediate shift to another memory slot with 0 time delay.

I've yet to experiment with the force ranges on the fly or the scale adjustment, which I'm excited about, the concept of limiting scale for in flight refueling for example is a fantastic feature on its own.

The BFA is also a very clever piece of design, making center deadzone a thing of the past

I must admit I had some doubts due to the relatively high cost of "joining the club" but so far it's proving worth it and I'm only just dipping my toe into the water with what this base is really capable of.

Hi Scotty.

I am , absolutely glad, to know, you are happy with your purchase. With a few more training days, you will be more and more confortable with the force settings and finally, if you feel like me, will find difficult return to a standard sticks, even in the Playstation, please do not smile so much, but some times, when I play with my son in the PS, I hate the low precision in the micro sticks ;-)

About your question about the AER, yes and not, AER was designed for an aerobatic pilot, and have the standard features, with some modifications, as for example the quick control in the settings. And the AER firmware is not good for the Space ship or the Modern combat jets. Sure in a few days, you will find the difference, inside the docs, you can find the drawings and the quick reference, for SMM control. Remember, nowadays, there are some features that you can adjust only from the RS_HID_DEV and have not SMM control.

About the trim level, is a feature, that I will love develop in more depth for a future Helicopter firmware, but at this moment I have not "heli pilots to receive his feedback and suggestion" but I must admit, I would love, get a small "heli drivers" and develop an special firmware for them, and the trimming is the roseta rock ;-)

Thanks a enjoy you Ligthing.
